![]() Sometimes I print a test page and get an error that the printer is out of paper (it isn't), and sometimes the printer test page goes I have tried every USB port and every LPT port shown in the list. ![]() Per all the instructions I have read - nothing happens. Problem - When I set the printer port in the printer device window to USB003 virtual printing port, I have purchased and installed a USB to IEEE 1284 adapter cable and Windows 8 recognizes the adapter (automatically, without having to load any driver). (Note that I have an HP 1055 All-In-One connected by USB to this computer and it is working fine.) I have located and installed the 64 bit printer driver for this printer successfully and the printer device (DesignJet 220) shows up in my printer list. I have a printer (HP DesignJet 220) with LPT only port. ![]() I have recently purchased a Windows 8 PC. ![]()
